The   KT joist has a unique hybrid form: it has the same type of extremities as I-beam joists and central openwork with metal chords. It offers the advantages of both systems. It provides rigidity at load points for top resistance and 2 to 18 feet-long openwork at the center, allowing for the passage of conduits, wires and pipes which are found in large numbers in today’s dwellings.

Its construction retains full structural performance. The   KT joist  is available on demand. It is light and easy to install. The KT ergonomics enables its installation according to traditional methods without having to use lifting equipment or specialized tools. It also provides full design freedom to structural designers, thanks to its long span design flexibility and top comfort to users because of its excellent control over vibrations. It is available in lengths from 8 to 26 feet and in heights of 11-7/8, 14, and 16 inches.
